SCMC on track @ MSR Houston, Nov 11-12, 2006
Please join The South Central Region of the SCMC as we have our 4th annual Open Track Driving Education Event at MSR Houston November 11-12, 2006.
This event will be limited to 75 entries. Sign up online today so you do not miss your chance. MSR Houston is a 2.4 mile long road course skillfully designed to develop and intensify your driving enjoyment. MSRH has 17 turns and demanding straights that offer numerous opportunities to test you and your vehicle’s capabilities. Here is the track website with more track info: http://www.msrhouston.com/ Instructors: This will be a driving education event, and will not be timed. Instructors will be provided to ride with and teach the lower open track skill level drivers (or anyone who request an instructor). This event is all about having fun while learning to better drive our cars. There will be drivers attending from all skill levels, 1st timers to those who race professionally. Run Groups: The SCMC reserves the right to constructs the run groups accordingly. Drivers will be placed in run groups with other drivers of comparable skill level. Safety: To build upon our safety emphasis at last year's event, our first concern is the safety of the drivers. We ask that everyone follow the proper guidelines for safety equipment. Your car will need to be inspected prior to the event, and there will be tech inspection before your car is allowed on the track. More details to come in the driver packet provided after registration. Helmet: A SA00 or better helmet is required. Convertibles: The MSR Houston open track event on Nov 11-12, 2006 will require convertible to have proper roll protection. This does not include light bars. You must have either a welded or bolted in roll bar sufficient enough to protect you and your passenger (factory installed functional rollover protection will also work). Late Registration: There will be a $25.00 late registration fee added on October 28, 2006 on top of the event price. RV\Campers:There will be 10-15 camper spots with water and power hookup at the track. Hotel: Hotels Best Western 1809 N. Car should go to the body shop soon the off to get the brakes finished up... I have a stupid question??? I want to get Magnetic racing numbers but how do you guys pick your #'s |
Your lucky number, your favorite number - a number that has "special" meaning. There's really no trick to it.
Happy number hunting  |

When I signed up just a sec. ago I did not put a number in the blanks B/C I need to order my magnets... What to do???? |

P.S. Edmond, will you be starting a thread of those who have signed up? |
Phil, the numbers are reserved on a first come first serve basis. When registering early you basically lock in your number as being reserved for you. That is why there is 3 choices on registration in case the first choice is taken. Worse case scenario, if the number somebody has on their magnets has been taken already, you use temporary tape to add a "1" before or after your number.
Now as far as seeing if a club regular has a praticular number you want, we can check for you. You of course need to figure out what number you want. You can guess mine by looking at my sig. Once you pick it, let us know and we will get it assigned to you. I am sure you have seen this already Phil, but for anyone else interested, club members can get these magnets if they choose. http://www.scmcstore.com/store/produ...1&cat=4&page=1 Gary.. look for that to be up by the end of next week  . |

Phil,
No three digit numbers have been taken for SCMC magnets so the house is yours. The magnets are white and do not come in red... :rotf: BTW, I haven't forgotten about your red shirt, I just haven't had a need to order any merchandise but maybe I can shoot an e-mail to the vendor and order a dozen red ones along with the "got cobra" shirts? Now what was your shirt size again? :D HyperPerformance Motorsports does the magnets for us. Dave keeps track of the numbers that are taken and he can verify if the one anyone orders is available or not. I do know that no 3 digit numbers have been used yet. |
Out :(

So all of this stuff is broke?????... What happened??? Join Date: Jun 2003 Location: Northwest Houston SCMC#: 800 ***--->Vehicle: 2000 Cobra R; 2003 Cobra Convertible; 2006 Ford GTPosts: 1,116 |
Larry is just SCARED that the 93 will kick that R's but yet again... :D :D
|
No magnetic numbers will stick to the Gt, every time a bring out the R, I break something. The Slo'03 is going to be to much for an open track event, going for a 4 digit HP number on it. So you you see, that just leaves the Excursion 4x4, my F-350 4x4 or either the hunting truck which is 4x4. This leaves me with nothing to drive in an open track event. Plus the GT is really dirty, and no one wants to clean it for me, and have not done enough mods to it to keep up with the true track dogs of SCMC  ;) :p :bounce: :rotf:
