INDY meet ?? Feb. 8th ?
 

Several of us have plans to go down to KB (Kenny Brown Performance
Gasoline Alley
Indianapolis, IN)


on 2/8 -- maybe we could meet for lunch in the afternoon?

The exact date is still tentative -
Kerry and his wife will be there on the 7th and the 8th..

Dave D. may meet up with us as well --

let us know if you'd like to meet up somewhere - so far, its at Kenny Brown at Gasoline Alley in Indy ....

It will be nice to be with our Cobra loving friends again!

I have been to down indy many times and have found a place or too to eat.

Like I said there is some racing going on at the RCA dome Sat. 8 and that where I hope to be. Noting is set in stone though. If you go to Indy and plan and staying the night get on www.priceline.com and get a room down town. You can save some money on priceline.com I have used every time I have been to Indy and was staying the night. Kerry:thumbsup:

When you get there, ask them when they are going to have their roll bar for the 99+ convertibles ready.

There is an event taking place on the evening of the 8th -

we could meet up in Indy early afternoon and then take it from there....

or, we could do the go kart event and then dinner afterward...

were open to any suggestions...

KB said that they will make a roll bar for a vert if they get 15 or more people who would be willing to commit to buying one.

They said the top cannot come up on theirs because of where the bar needs to be for "collision" safety...

that makes sense to me....

But they would be willing to make one if the interest is enough to warranty it... They are a very small company unlike Steeda and Saleen - they'd have to have some commitments...

let me know what you think .... If they decide to do so, it wouldn't hurt to call them and tell them your concerns ....

The cart racing sounds fun.

I do know that Tina and I are going to the races at the dome sat. night. Races start at 7:00 or 7:30 and they have like 4 or 5 classes racing. www.autoracingindoors.com if anyone want to check it out.

Do you have to have reservations for the go cart racing or can you just show up and do it ?

Did you get any times on the go kart racing?

I have not been getting any updates through the forums. I just happend to check this am and there has been allot of postings.

If you can get some times during the day say 12:00- 5:00 give a few count Tina & I in on the go Karts.

Are we meeting up at K.B. then Sat. am? If so whats the time. I can be there any time for I am staying down town and it would be minutes to get there.

As far as dinner it will have to depend on the go karts times because of the racing at the dome we are going to.

If worse comes to worse -- any of us that don't meet up ahead of time, we will end up meeting at the Go-Kart track - say about 5:30?

I just talked to Mike Allen at K.B. to see if my cage was ready( it is ready) and they open @ 8:00 or 9:00(not sure) but they close at 12:00.

I would say for those who will be there in the am(some time) we can just meet at K.B. I think that would be the easy for everyone to find. Email me direct and I can give you directions to K.B.

As far as the go kart races I don't think Tina and I will be able to do it since we are going to the sprint cars races at the dome. They start at 7:00pm

Since KB closes at noon can't we do the karts a little earlier? Not sure what time it opens but it could be a long afternoon till 6:00 or 7:00 from noon.

Dave, what time do you get off work? We can try to plan around your arrival time.

Plus, if we could start at say 3:00 we'd have Kerry and Tina along too!! The more there the more fun!

That would be nice if we could do it around 3:00 or so. We want to do the karts, but want to goto the sprint races later for sure.

So when are we all meeting and where?

I don't believe we can move up the kart time because it is scheduled with the local SVTOA.

We could meet at KB around 10 or 11, go down town to eat after KB(Kerry knows of a good place), hit circle center and then find the kart place.

Something has come up.

I found someone that is selling a HO Fibertrend hood that I would love for my AI car. He lives in Cincy and I need to go pick it up. I am suppose to meet him at the Ohio/Indiana border on 74 at 10:00am. That means I might not get to KB right at 11:00. Hopefully I can get there before they close. This kinda stinks but I really don't have any choice. :(
