Let's go practice for free at Mooresville Dragway this Sunday -- October 29, 2006

The SCMC got an invitation to run at Mooresville Dragway this Sunday from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. I'll be going but I don't plan to stay there all day as I'm finally going to get the 04 tuned and will take it down the 1/8 mile for a few passes on street tires. Probably just a couple of launch practice shots unless someone wants to run against me...

Pro-Dyno will be set up at the track for the day in case someone wants to dyno??

Dan said that the guys from Harris Mustang Performance said we were welcome to come out and join them for their "Customer Appreciation Day" for free. They plan on having the track for 5 hours, 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. and I think they're doing "free" lunch but not sure 100%.

So if you want to join in on the fun and show them what the SCMC is all about, come on out for a few hours...or more....and let's get some practice in before we go to Jackson next weekend!

P.S. Any takers with those slow Cobras out there?

A few of my friends will be out there with Harris Racing, but I've got to work that day.
I would like to get some practice in before Nov. 4th since the last time I raced was at our event in Feb., but work comes before play.

Thanks for posting this! I didn't know it was happening. I'll try to be up there wtih the Lightning to run it for the first time.

1st run with my 03 and I ran two 8.2s on my no grip street tires. Happy for now but can't wait for more power and more traction!!!

That was really good Logan! Much better than my 9.475 @ 74 mph. (Missed 2nd...yeah I know

) I'm going to try and beat my best time so far at the house of hook next week. 12.77 @ 110 mph!

Glad many of you came out and a big thanks to Harris Racing for providing the event for us Cobra freaks!

Had a lot of fun today....Best run with M/T was 7.3 @ 100MPH with $h!tty 60 ft 1.8.....Thanks to Harris Racing Group Kelby, Stacey, Linda, Joe, Paul, Steven, Brandon and who ever else helped out.....
