SVTOA-Atlanta would like to extend an invitation to all SCMC members to join us for our first On-Track event, Hot Laps at Little Talladega!

As a "thank you" for invitations to SCMC events and courtesies extended, SCMC members are eligible to attend at MEMBERS pricing! Simply write on your registration form that you are an SCMC member and include your member number beside your name.

That's right - SVTOA-Atlanta is inviting you to Hot Laps!

Come join us on August 30th for a full day of hot lapping. We have secured the Talladega Gran Prix Raceway for a full day of fun. This is a non-timed driving event, not a competitive event, but that doesn't mean you won't have the time of your life! And best of all...convertibles are welcome! So whether you have a Focus, Cobra, or Lightning, you can test the limits of your car and yourself in a relaxed, safe and fun environment. You can even bring a passenger. All you need to enjoy this full day of speed and G forces is a car that can pass a simple tech inspection (meaning it is in safe street condition) and a helmet that meets Snell specifications for you and your passenger.

If you don't have a helmet, Discovery Motorsports (www.discoveryparts.com) will be on hand to participate, share his experience from years of SCCA racing, and supply a limited number of loaner helmets. You will be able to purchase your own new, Snell approved helmet from him at the track if you desire. If you contact him, he will bring your purchase to the track with him. He will have his sales trailer with him for any other needs you may have. Many thanks to Jim Hunt for his help.

Talladega Gran Prix Raceway, better known as Little Talladega, is located in Alabama, just a short one and one half hour ride from the Atlanta area.

Talladega Gran Prix Raceway is a 1.35 mile road course located just minutes from Interstate 20. The track, built in 1985, has been host to numerous motorcycle races, go-kart races, sports car races, and various club events. The track is available for tuning and testing of motorcycles, cars, and go-karts. The track is in operation 52 weeks a year and welcomes newcomers and veterans alike. One nice thing about this track is that it has no guard rails. Instead, it has large runoff areas in case you happen to overcook it a little. To ensure a safe environment and plenty of track time, we are limiting the event to the first thirty (30) registrants on a first come, first served basis.

We've tried to keep this event very affordable. The full day of driving is only $175.00 for SVTOA & SCMC members and $200.00 for non-members.
