plus, the Memphis deal looks like almost a even trade off for majority. It is a bit longer for the California peeps, and New Englanders, but doable.

I agree totally, would be great to have an event where north and south, east and west all would come together for one big blowout.

When the Lightning owners,(NLOC), decided to get together they chose Heartland Park in Topeka, KS. It is about as middle as you can get. It has a road course and a drag strip. It was about a two and a half day drive from the beach, I only drove 8 hours a day. It was very windy and it is very flat out there.

There's also Indianapolis Raceway Park. It has a dragstrip, a road course, and a oval. Mid Ohio would be my dream track to have it at though.

I enjoyed our outing at Mid-America in Iowa a few years back. Close to Omaha, lots to do there. Track is flat, relatively free from barriers, has a drag strip and kart track on the property.

10'th Anniversary

I would like to see this event held in the middle of the country. Kansas sounds like a winner.

SCMC'S 10th Anniversary

Mid-Ohio in Lexington Ohio. Great course, lots of shade and close to home.

Take a look WWW.mid-ohio.com

I love how some people consider Tennessee and Ohio in the 'middle' of the entire country .

Seriously though, as important as location is - facilities are just as important.

somewhere in the MIDDLE of the country-- I want to see LOTS of people there!!

Kansas is about as middle as one can get- but what about oklahoma? where they have the shelby event? It is a littel more south, but is there stuff to do??

what is there in topeka other than car stuff- many people wnat to do other things as well. (shopping. tourism, historical?)

If absolute beauty and turns/ curves are essential- I vote the Rockie Mtn area, or arizona. Makes the dragon look like it is for wimps!!
