Not all are a dime a dozen. But this is a cobra site and should prob stay one. In IMHO normal GT's and V6's and even limited models "Bullit" "Mach 1" Are a little intimidated to even talk on this site of fear from being shunned.

Bullitt519,

I'm not sure how to take that because I cannot think of a situation where anyone who has come on this board as a legitimate poster (In other words not a troll) has walked away feeling shunned. In time I have learned that everyone has to start somewhere. My first car was a 1967 Mustang and then moved to a 1969 Mach 1, then a 5.0 liter LX, a 5.0 GT, a 99 Cobra, and then a 2004 which I currently own.

Maybe people feel that way because they may not own a Cobra and feel like they don't fit in? When the club first started, we allowed GT's in and then in 2001 the Bullitt came along. Members started arguing with each other which was the better car since the 99 Cobra was down on power. Tempers flared and we voted to make Cobra ownership mandatory.

All of our events including shows are open to any Ford and all of our track events are open to any make or model. There are numerous GM people that browse the board and attend SCMC events. If someone is feeling shunned then it is by their own accord, everyone on this board I know of have open arms to all fellow Mustang owners. (Okay, maybe one exception but don't judge the entire club by a few people that may not make everyone welcome.)

I was not saying your site your site seems to be great! I am talking about other sites or in genaral everyone is always fighting and acting like kids. Some people feel they don't belong or cant voice them selfs without backlash. Your local fourm seems to be filled with very helpful people on most fourms I post stuff that is going on or try to help out and everyone seems to ignore me. Like the bullit fourm I posted the hole track day thing and there is another one this week and only one reply saying it cost to much. Its not about the money and about getting together and supporting the car scene, It is 2 months away and is a great price. But they will spend twice as much for drag racing in another state. I guess diff stroke for diff folk.

Open tracking is pretty expensive especially if you do it three or four times a year but........getting a speeding ticket is even more costly so that's a better way to look at it.

I've controlled myself better on the street then I have in the past and I think a lot of it has to do with wanting to leave my speed for the track. If everyone leaves their adrenaline for the track and maybe do an event once or twice a year, they'll see that it is well worth the money.

I think the SVT group is unique regardless of the vehicle type. Focus, lightning, cobra or whatever, if it's an SVT it is truely special.

I think this forum should stay for Cobras only. It's nice to have a place just for Cobra owners.
