My '87 Saleen is a hatch, it has good tires and has no leaks of any kind. I guess all I need from what I read is a properly rated helment, and whatever restraint device I have in the driver's seat, needs to be present if I have an instructor. Is this a correct statement?

So from the literature, I dont need a fire extinguisher, and IF i were to have a battery relocation kit, I dont need a battery cut off switch?

Certainly appreciate the help guys!!!

That is exactly right! I have the relocation kit and no cutoff switch. I do not have a mounted fire extinguisher either. Bring your helmet and your car and you should be good to go!

one more dumb question, then i'll be set...

It says that if i need an instructor (which i do), if I am using a harness, it is requested I provide one for him/her as well. So if i were to buy something like a 4 point scroth autocontrol which by the time its all said and done will set me back a few hundred, could a 4point $70 corbeau be put in the passengers side? Or does it have to be exact? I dont really feel like dumping $500 on harnesses lol..but $300ish is a bit more acceptable

As long as you have something to keep you and your instructor in place then it is fine. You don't want to make your instructor move around in the seat while you are planted in, it wouldn't be fun for him/her nor would it make for a great learning experience.

great, im gonna get pwned LOL...maybe I can just outdrive all the newbies

I havent registered yet for fear I wont have a few key things i'll need like a harness and such...i really dont feel like sliding around all over the place at high speeds. Hopefully if i can swing it, there will be room to register. All else fails I'll just come up and watch, maybe ride along and get some tips ect.

Wow, it's going to be great getting passed by all these fine cars! With my car and inexperience, you can just think of me as a big orange cone and one more thing to go around on each lap.

I just sold my 5.0 Fox body, am a member of Full Throttle Stangs, and am quite familiar with the capabilities of even stock Cobras, let alone these, and a GT40!

The guy with the GT 40 also has a 1993 Cobra R, he will bring one of them if not both since he has a two car hauler. I hope he brings the GT 40 though...

We'll do the best we can to group people by experience and car capabilities. This will be a fun time as well as a great learning experience.

I don't know if it matters. Mine is dark shadow gray (DSG). Just didn't want to screw anything up on the list.
