Sure! He got his duct hose from:

Quickcar Racing Products
170 Business Park Drive
Lebanon, Tn 37090
1-615-453-2130

the link----> http://www.quickcar.net/cooling/cp_hose.html

Part #60-030

(I actually found someone selling a "kit" for $30 consisting of two 48" long 3" diameter hoses - says it is high temp hose, clamps, and zip ties on ebay. He lives near me so I bought it from him. He has sold these kits a couple of times. If it checks out and he has more to sell I will provide the link to the listing if anyone wants it.)

Not to sound like an idiot here, but what is the purpose for the Brake Ducts and what performance help do they contribute to the car?
And, if I put them on the car, can I keep them on for daily driving or just for track events?

Brake pads have an operating temparature, unless you run some totally hardcore racing pads, the temperature rating of the pads can be reached very easily after a few laps at a road course, depending on the layout(how much braking is done and how often). Once the brake pads get past their heat range threshold, you start getting brake fade. Just like it sounds it feels like your brake are fading away from performing. What brake ducts do is run a tube from the opening in the bumper by the fog lights, to the rotors. it basically air cools the brakes to help them get back into operating range quicker while on the coarse.

I have run brake ducting for years and they really do help keep brakes from fading on the course. I run them all year round, daily driver. The biggest problem I have with them is the tires rubbing them and ruining the hoses. It's really difficult on my 99 to route a 3" duct in such a way to avoid that. So, I'm experimenting with a 3" from the front with a step-down (plumbing fixture) to 2 1/2 or a 2" one to get around the tire area.

As a daily driver, would you have soem small rocks or debri being forced through the pipe and directed at your rotors? At high speeds? Just my .02

Not really a problem since the hose is ribbed and has to make a turn to get to the rotor. Odds are small something would get in the hose to start with (you could always put a screen over the front of the hose if you were really worried about it happening), and if it did get in it would most likely get caught up in the hose. If it did work its way to the other end it shouldn't have enough velocity to do any harm to the center of the rotor anyway.

Mine isn't an everyday driver ... but it gets lots of street driving!

No spindle duct on mine ... just the hose to the back of the spindle(with the backing plate/dust shields removed....

I've seen plenty of American Iron cars running just hose..... so it's good enough for me...

No hose rubbing on my car.... BUT!!! 03/04 have stops in the rack, which also cuts down on the turning radius... it also prevents contact with the hose on full lock turns.

No problems yet with any debris either.... small gravel, bugs and cigarette butts are no match for Brembo CAST IRON!!!

Kind of a funny thing happened one time after I washed it once....

I was "misbehaving' and really got "all up in" the brakes....
And a huge plume of steam came flying out of the wheel wells... and kept steaming a bit even after I parked it I must have loaded the hoses while rinsing it off

I don't know.... I thought it was funny... people were looking like

Anyway for a full time streeter.... I wouldn't bother... it's an open track/road race thing...

It can in theory... also stave off or delay boiling the brake fluid.... which can and does happen to open trackers...

It's a great cheap brake enhancement for open track cars!!!
Won't increase brake performance over stock....
All it does is prevent or delay losing that same performance to super high temps...
