I guess we have to wait and see what the performance will be with the new Cobra whenever it will be released. How close it will look or perform to one of the hybrid conversions that the big three (Saleen, Sean Hyland Motorsports, and Rouch) have done to the 05 mustang GT. Also, I believe the short block uses similar hyperetic pistons and powdered metal connecting rods that the 99/01 cobra and 01-03 Mach 1 use. Having the internals as they are limits the potential of forced induction to under 6psi of boost. More than likely, the new cobra will incorporate the modified Eaton with the Lysholm rotors instead of the roots type. Makes me wonder how difficult it would be to swap out the rotors of the Eaton M112 and replace them with twin screw Lysholm rotors which is used in the Ford GT.
