Well I started to work on the Cobra yesterday, Changing oil/filter,brake fluid and such. Got in the car and the driver doors window wont go down. I have the Ford shop manual on CD and the section with the wireing diagrams in it wont open, get and error message telling me that it is not in PDF format so that it can not be open. So now I am forced to take it to the dealer and see if they can fix it before I leave here Friday for the track. Maybe John would let me run with just three windows and the top down. Worst case is I will have to find a way to take the window out of the car. No way am I going to miss CMP this year.

I did something really stupid yesterday and I knocked the drivers side window out of alignment. It now does not open, close or even fit in the window slot correctly when the door is closed (which is hard to close). My question is, IF I can NOT get it fixed go down can I still run at the track??

My guess is no. I have never done an event where they let you have the drivers side window up. I have been to events where the passenger side was optional.

Can you just remove it?

Well True Blue is going to do some maintenance on the ride this week anyway and put on an accusump system so they are going to either fix it or take it out. I'll have to get some plastic to put over the hole if i don't get it fixed! (NOW THAT'S A REDNECK MUSTANG!)

My tires are slightly heat cycled and the car is on jackstands. Brake flush and pads remain the final project. Lester did an incredible job setting up the car. It's a different animal now. Now let's see how the driver can push it.

The SCMC would like to invite everyone to a get together at the track Saturday night. We will have chicken wings, tater salad, cole slaw and drinks(BYOB). We will have it set up for around 5:30 at the track. Thanks
