The bigger question is are you going to CMP?

Glad to have you back Tom.

Welcome back Tom...

I am sure that if you showed up at CMP there would be a few of us that would take you out on track enough that you'd get tired of the 'kink'!!!!

I plan on camping on Saturday night as well - see you there - although I'll probably bring ole' blue to drive http://www.wildhorsesracing.com/cars/01escortf.jpg...

Do you think you may be able to make the centinial (?spelling)event at Lowes for labor day? it would be great to see you again.

I think I'm going. If the weather is okay, Jimmy and I will probably tent camp Saturday night.

EDIT: Not to drive though, just spectating.

Great to have you back Tom, things were just not the same. If it weren't for you and John and my first trip to CMP I might not be on this board, or have met all these great people.

Since you are roughing it, I'll return the favor and bring some pimento cheese sandwiches as long as you bring your helmet!

See ya at CMP, hope the long hours now bear fruit... as I am doing the same as you. New business, much time.

Ehh, it isn't too bad out here. Just hot and stuff. It makes ya wonder how I can stay so busy, while we do so little. I'm doing just fine out here. I appreciate your concern Tom!! I see that the event is on the 15-16th of March........ Uhh, NO. Can't make it. I'll be at the Drag Day "Rain date" though. Maybe even Gingerman if the car decides it's gonna stop being a PINTA.

SHC, just saw my stepson off to his 6 to 12 month vacation at a sandy spot in "southwest Asia". He's part of 101st Airborne Air Assault unit, based at Philadelphia City, I believe he said. Haven't heard from him since he left last Sunday. But then, camel mail has got to be slow.

Did he leave on a ship? Or by air? If you could tell me his name, I may be able to track him down for ya. Odds are, he may be here with me, or somewhere I've been frequenting. I've got a good idea where most of the Army cats are, so he may be there. If he is, he'll have access to email. Best thing to do is email him, because he's gonna get to a computer more often than not. I've only been to 2 places out here that don't have computer access. A telephone call is probably unlikely, I've been out here 3 times now, and only hit a phone once. The mail here takes about 6 days each way. So it's pretty good. The deeper ya go though, the longer it'll take. But runs are made daily to just about everywhere, so he'll get any mail. He's prolly got an APO AE address I'd imagine.

He is PFC Eric Robinson. They flew from Fort Campbell on 747's and other huge commercial planes, made a stop at Ramstein in Germany I think, then to the sandy place.

I was a PFC Josh Robinson a few years back. Ramstein is a blast. I'm sure he had a heck of a time there. I checked for him on the "global" list and I didn't see him out here yet. He's probably out here, and i'll keep ya posted on what I find. So far, either he's not on the roster yet here, or he's somewhere else right now.
