If your coming down 95 to go to richmond and get off at the Dale City exit where I do to go home, there's a K-mart, McDonalds and some other restaurant on the left as soon as you come over the overpass. I don't know if mine would be the last stop on the way to richmond. I wouldn't mind driving elsewhere to meet either.

Cool

That is fine...as long as it is not near the Mixing Bowl with about a billions exits all over. Is that before or after Potomac Mills? I know where that is!

That's funny that you ask, it pretty much IS the Potomac Mills exit. But instead of branching off right to go to the mall, you'd branch off to the left towards Dale City, and the K-mart/McD's is the first left.

Anyway, I plan on taking Friday off work to hopefully clean BigRed up in the morning, so I'm open to either day.

Okay...I thought it might be...so, I say let's plan on Friday night going down. Meet at the exit mentioned above. Dale City at the McDonalds/K-Mart. I assume they are together in the parking lot? Now the time? I can take the day off or half the day off..my car is clean and sits in the garage so, I don't have to worry about that for now.

So, BigRedMachine and Cobra330 agree to Friday at the Dale City Exit..what do you think CobraCrazy and Angie? Also, now what time? Also, BigRedMachine can you get the exact exit number?

I'll write it down and post specific details tomorrow sometime. The K-mart and the McDonalds are not right next to each other but are in the same shopping area. Can't miss either one. Just let me know a time and I can work around getting the car cleaned. i assume most everyone knows on a Friday going south is not to pretty after 3 or 4.

I can take off Friday as well. It would be easiest for me to meet everyone at the Falmouth exit on Rt 95. There is a McDonalds right after you exit while going south. My car is Black and so after the drive it will be a mess. I was thinking about washing on Friday and waxing early Sat morning in the hotel parking lot before the sun gets up.

Does everyone want to go Friday?

BTW: Tony- Maybe I am missing something but I do not see a letter code for 2003 Cobra verts. Also, my car falls in between daily driver and ocasional driver.... What To do??

If I do stay Friday night, I won't stay Sat night but I can hang around and have dinner.

Friday is fine for me so I can work on cleaning my car up a bit during the day provided it doesn't rain.

Okay...we are leaving on Friday then. I will meet BigRedMachine at the Dale City exit..we can they go to the Falmouth exit and meet CobraCrazy. Then caravan down. Now..the only other issue is Angie..but, we'll figure out something on that one. CobraCrazy if you could let us know that exit number for Falmouth so, we can meet you at the McDonalds there. Now as far as time..you are correct..3 to 4 is not good in that area so, we need to either go earlier or later..which is good for you guys? I can do either so, let me know. We could then do dinner that night...go to the show Saturday and head out some time Saturday night..that would give everyone some time to socialize and still have one day of our weekend for other stuff.....

Yep Ryan I got yours already..we are set! Thanks!
There is a rest area just north of the Dumfries exit which is just north of Quantico. You could meet there.

There is a Car Wash at the East Coast Gas station near the Holiday Inn. It is one of those magic wand types of wash.

It is rule #5 posted this in the Show Rules on page 3 of this thread. Here is the rule.

5. Show Cars that are 2003 to Current Model Year will be judged by popular vote!

This means that the participants in the show will vote for the 2003 & 2004 Mustang/Ford they like the best. There will be at least 3 trophies given out in the Popular Choice category. There is a reason for this. It is very hard to judge a current model year (CMY) Mustang/Ford or a previous model year (PMY) Mustang/Ford because they are just to new to find anything wrong with them. Based on the point system we use it is possible that every 2003 & 2004 Mustang in the show field would get a trophy and that would not be fair to the cars that are 10, 20, 30 & 40 years old. If im not mistaken this is also a MCA rule and CVMC has used the CMY & PMY Rule for as long as I have been a member of the club. CVMC does use Modified MCA Rules.

Let me know if you have anymore questions.

As it stands now the above will be where will meet and on Friday. I am not sure what exact time traffic gets busy down that way but, I would say let's head down before that not after...Anyone know what time traffic gets really bad? Let me know..then maybe we should plan to leave about an hour before that just to be sure!

Weee Whooo!! Plans are coming together.
I would like to drive down in daylight hours but I am flexible...

I sent a PM to Angie yesterday and she said she was coming but she has been very quiet on the boards... Hmm

I'll send my registration in the next day or two. Then I will make hotel reservations.

We are planning on going rain or shine right??

I want to go down in the daylight to and before traffic..so, we are talking probably after lunch and before 3? Let me know.

Well hopefully she will get in with us and we can ride down together and park together there....Let me know if you hear any more.

Sounds good...I will put yours with Ryans, wait for Angie a bit more..and then send them all in together. I think we have to have them in by September 1..so, we have a few more weeks but, not long!

I just picked up my car from the shop today and I forgot to write down the exit number off 95 to Dale City. Sorry 'bout that. I'll get it tonight when I go home.

I'm up for anytime on Friday. I'm taking the day off work so I'm open to before or after lunch/rush hour.

My wife is driving down with us in her car because she might leave early or whatever. She has an 03 Eclipse so I'll make her go to the back of the line
Don't rag her to much, she bought it before she met me!

Maybe closer to drive time we can exchange cell numbers to stay in touch in case something happens. Just a thought.
