How big of a job is it to put new bushings in the rear-end(no wheel hop)?

Putting new bushings in is no problem. Getting the old ones out is one huge pain. Or atlease mine were. If somebody here has a easy trick to get the old ones out you can change them in a couple hours. If not then.....prepare for a LONG day.
Changing mine did not stop the wheel hop. sorry.
Did it help the car? Some, but not enough for the trouble it was to get the old ones out.

I agree 100%, I had mine installed by Ford and the cost wasn't worth it in the end. Even if I had done it myself it wouldn't have been worth it at all. The wheel hop is still there, there really isn't any way to get rid of it 100% with the IRS.

Some people have had great success with the QA1 adjustable rear shocks and some Mickey Thompson ET street radials to get rid of the wheel hop.
Depending on what HP levels you're at depends how bad the wheel hop is going to get or be.

I agree with these guys also. I put the bushings in myself, and you should be prepared for an all day job. There is no easy way of getting the old bushings out of the shells. after the old ones were out, everything else went smoothly. I put the QA1 shocks on at the same time and have had no further problems with wheel hop. It all depends on the adjustments of the shocks. But, like these guys said, the bushings alone will not cure wheel hop, and alone, they are not worth the trouble. Do it all together, and the pay-off is much better and you will be happier! hope this helps,

springs, bushings, sticky tires...got rid of my hop...there is a tool to help get the stock one's out, MM sells them for $20 with the purchase of their bushings...we ran in to problems putting the IRS back up, things didnt wanna line up and the bushings stick out further than the stock one's...just to give you an idea, we charge SCMC members $300 for the install and non-members $350.
