I've been enjoying this site for a while now and finally decided to register. I have a mystic 04 coupe since Jan 04 with 2,700 miles on the clock. Assembled 01/05/2004 #1086 of 3768 and #392 of 1010 Mystichrome Cobras. I just finished the last of my mods (nothing radical) but need to get it tuned and get some numbers. I live in Philly so the Cobra is garaged most of the winter. The mods I went with are as follows:

Pypes ceramic X-pipe with hp cats
Magnaflow cat back
BBK Twin 65mm throttle body
Mac CAI
Billet Flow 2.76 upper pulley
Billet Flow four piece idler set in blue
Diablosport Predator pulley tune
MGW shifter
Drilled and slotted rotors
Goodyear 315/35ZR17 GS D3's on 10.5 Cobra rims
Grill Craft upper and lower grills in black
Cobra emblem on grill
SS Cobra inserts

Thanks for the welcome. I still need a sticky set of booties. The D3's just don't bite from a dig no matter how much I heat them up. Future mods include getting the SC ported and a 4Lb lower pulley.

If you still have the factory rims, i'd suggest the Mickey Thompson drag radial, they'll give you all the traction you could ask for...if you have 18's, then i'd go for the BFG's

Do you have anybody in mind for a custom tune for your car? I live just outside of philly and a little unhappy with my current tune. I just don't know of anybody around here that knows these cars well. (tune, etc.)

I'm in the Somerton section of NE Philly. Have you ever driven by the Sunoco at Haldeman ave and the Roosevelt Blvd or stopped by the Franklin Mills Mall on a Sunday night? Plenty of great cars and a few trailer queens looking for big bucks. Did you ever race up the Blvd into Bucks County? Two tuners that were recommended to me are as follows:

Axcelerated Motorsports in Plumstead Pa 215-297-8139
JD's Performance Center in Horsham Pa 215-938-9270

I'll be trying one of these in a few weeks. Let me know if you find a good tuner in the area.

look up Crazy Horse racing , 732-553-9050. They are in South Amboy NJ.

I tried to look up their website but it is not working. www.crazyhorseindustries.com

One of the workers at advanced auto in Quakertown recommened them to me. Since I am not ready to make any major modifications I have not bothered to call them yet.

I have been to Franklin Mills a few sunday nights. Don't really dig the import scene there though. Never seen a mystic on the the road around here ever. Let us know how you make out with your tuner. I'm thinking of getting a mail order tune thru Amazon Racing. But I wonder how a local tuner will be willing to work with another. Wish I could ship my cobra down there for a day to tune and dyno, then shipped back................yea right!

There are only two mystics in this area, mine and a ragtop that is wicked fast. He has the thing totally tricked out and has big bottle of laughing gas in the trunk. He took it down to Front Street in South Philly and killed everyone. I talked to a guy named Dale from Axcelerated Motorsports. He works primarily with the SCT tuner but can work with my Diablosport Preditor tuner also. His prices are reasonable. I need a couple of pulls on his dynojet. He said it was set up for a 3800 lb car. I'm not sure if plus/minus a couple of hundred pounds is critical. Let me know who you went to the last time and what were the specific problems with the tune. I am well within the parameters of the Diablo but if something doesn't function properly, I can down load the tune to my computer and send it to the dealer who in turn will send it to Diablo.

I have gone to Franklin mills a few times (basically for the fun on the turnpike). It is about time they paved rt 63.

My thoughts exactly on the distance of Amazon but would rather drive down and back than to ship it. However, that type of trip in the Cobra would warrant many speeding tickets in both directions. If you are looking for a tuner, best if they specialize in Cobra's since you do not want to be there first guinnipig at your expense.

My tune was done with the SCT Xcal 2 at Performance Specialties in Pottstown. I'm happy with A/F#'s but not with my RWHP #'s. Every other car with similar mods are much higher (See my sig below). I also notice a higher then normal idle sometimes. Maybe theres something wrong with my car and not the tune? I don't know. Do you know if the two tuners you mentioned have any 03-04 cobra tuning experience?
