up date on tires

Guys,
Got a set of BF Goodrich g-force drag radials for the rear and kdw g-force for the front. Advise on my choice please. I was considering mt et`s, not good for street. tried to find a set of wheels for extra, no luck. Thanks

That's what I'm running on my car and I love them. The Drag radials are ok for the first 5,000 miles in the rain as long as you aren't at the track every weekend. Recently I've been slipping and sliding around the roads when it rains

It's not fun, but it won't be driven in the rain anymore. Daily driver is here

Some do this and some do not.... If you can get a second set of wheels for the rear to mount regular street tires on them, you will not have to replace the drag radials prematurely. You could probably get a set from tire rack with the kdw's mounted on them and use that most of the time. Then swap the tires for the drag radials the night before you go to the track. To some degree I wish I would have traded the 01 in with the after market wheels since the 03/04 styled wheel can be bought in different widths (aftermarket). However, since the 5 spoke wheel is a bit on the heavy side, I am glad I kept the BBS wheels since that gives me a bit of unsprung weight loss. The down side is that you need storage space for all the wheels and tires. I have three complete sets.... 01 wheels with snow tires mounted on them, BBS 18x10 (2) + 18x8.5(2) [reserved for track duty] and finally a set of 17x9 10th anniversary wheels. The only benefit is that I can put the wheels with the better tread depth on for state inspection. Also keeps the rubber on the track tires so when I want to use them they will not be worn out. I guess I got tired having to replace the rear tires every year.

I myself did that, by taking off my M/T drag radials, and mounted on some KDW's. Im liking it and Im also looking for a set of 03 cobra rims to mount them on.
