this trip was extremely boring. A waste of time and money.

sorry guys, next year, you can count me out.

-Snack bar didnt open til 3pm - there is NO place to get a bite to eat

-The announcer sounded like Boomhower from King of the Hill. He was REALLY boring and didnt even know what the hell was racing. Very monotone.

-I dont know if Brian ever got his car tuned. We left at 330 and there were two cars in front of him. Hours later, I called, car still hadnt been tuned.

-The track is pretty crappy. The bleachers look to be 30 years old and the sun is always in your face.

-It is 2.5 hours to get there...which I knew...but just not worth the trip.

Thanks for posting that Bugman as it is good to hear feedback from people that attend our events so we can strive to make them better. Too bad the poster hid behind the Internet instead of telling us face to face so we could address the problems.

Perhaps that's how Sour Apple Performance does their business and talks about their customers when they have a problem, I don't know??

I have to agree about the concession stand, they were late!

I think Brian from XFOA was upset about not getting his car tuned sooner as he mentioned that to me as I was packing up to leave.

The announcer is handicapped and in a wheel chair, I'm sure he'll appreciate that comment about his announcing.

I have to disagree about the track, it is one of the most "hooking up" track I have ever raced at. That's why they call it the house of hook as they put plenty of track prep on there. The staff is courteous and cordial and easy to get along with.

I'm sure if the sun was on their back, they would complain about sunburn on the back of their neck.

The bottom line is, you are always going to have people who are unappreciative, unhappy, and complain when they attend an event. They don't realize how much effort and time is put into putting on events. I try to ignore people like that and try to think that we put events on for those that appreciate what we do for the hobby.

You're always going to have a Sour Apple every now and then....

Oh I know from plenty of experience but I hate more than anything when I find out 3-4 weeks later so I felt obligated to post it up.

We had a blast and will continue to return every time possible Sir.

I also read what they said on the XFOA board and they were correct about paying the extra fee. Honestly, I was in total shock and denial as this was the first time the track ever did that. I felt so bad when one of the racers told me about that, that I paid his $15.00 so he could stay late.

In my original statement, it said you could stay all night for free as that has always been that way in the past. They never told me they changed their policy about that. In the future, we'll announce that their fee is good till 5:00 p.m.

As for paying the full fee, if these guys preregistered, they could save themselves $15.00 but they all want to wait to see about their schedules and the weather, so they don't preregister and pay the full fee.

Let's not forget that MGW sponsors this event, too. Hence...SCMC/MGW Drag Day!
