Thumbs up Invitation to VIR Full Course

Hey everyone... new here... hope I'll be welcome.

I've been talking with Tony S about the up coming VIR South event for you guys, and I can absolutely say everyone who goes will have a blast!! (I'll post more on that thread...)

Anyway... Tony invited me to post about one of our upcoming events

February 10th & 11th - VIR Full Course ... $315 for two days of HPDE.

For competitive prepared cars (4-point SCCA spec roll bars, 5-6 pt harnesses, fire extinguisher) we also offer an optional time trial event. Details on our events can be found at www.timetrials.net

The only requirement above standard street car safety equipment are 4-point or better SCCA spec roll bars for any convertible (or time trial car as stated above).

Registration is now open through www.tzcthscc.motorsportreg.com

Please email me, or post here if you have any questions

Has anybody run VIR in February? Are the temps warm enough for the track to heat up?

Just curious?

Stack ... with convertibles if you don't plan on doing the time trials, do you still have to have arm restraints?

I would love to attend

Anybody have advice on beginners starting out in track events. I have little track experience (20 laps @ RIR in a NASCAR cup car), and no personal safety gear (yet).
After a pleasant 20 min phone conversation with Tony S., this sounds like something I would love to get in to.
Any help, advice, weblinks, ect would be greatly appreciated.

George

They will be cold... they may even be wet ... but there will be 30+ cars on track in each run group (more in the advanced groups) which will warm the track up decently

You do not have to use the arm restraints if the top is up.

I'm not sure who's from which forum... but there are two Mustangs (I think they are both cobras) in the novice group, one in the intermediate group, and two in the advanced group.
