Join the SCMC for some on track fun at Carolina Motorsports Park. The event is a school with in car instruction where you can drive your car the way it was built to be driven. The event is limited to the first 75 students/drivers.

Please be sure to make your hotel reservations at the host hotel, The Jamison Inn. Please mention the "SVT Cobra Mustang Club" when you make your reservations. If you have any problems ask for Sheila Doster. Phone Number: 803.283.1188

Please be sure to download both the registration form and the events packet. The registration form is in adobe and MS Word in case you do not have the updated version of Adobe Acrobat.

Those that register and participate in this event will get "priority status" at our VIR event in June/July.

There will be camping at the facility but you will have to pay a camping fee of $25.00 a night and it must be paid prior to you spending the night on Friday/Saturday. Please make your check out to "SCMC" and mail it to:

I wanted to clarify about the CMP fees before participants send in the wrong amount for their entry fee. Please post if you are not sure you understand what the cost is for two days at CMP with us.

Event Fee before March 1, 2007 - never attended this SCMC event = $290.00
Event Fee before March 1, 2007 and previously attended this event = $270.00
Event Fee before March 1, 2007 and are a Cobra Club member = $260.00
Event Fee after March 1, 2007 = $315.00

Event Fee for one day before March 1, 2007 = $150.00
Event fee for one day after March 1, 2007 = $175.00

Registration fees have been increased because for 2 years in a row, CMP raised their rates from $3500.00 to $3750.00 a day to $4000.00 a day plus increases in corner workers rates, increased insurance rates, per car fee, ambulance rates, tow vehicle rates, etc... Last year we kept the fee the same but this year we are not able to do it. The event is $260.00 for members and that's still a low cost weekend at this track. This is the most fun you can have in your Cobra. Now, we could go 5 run groups and get less track time and charge less but in the past participants have said they'd rather pay the extra and get the seat time. With this event, you will get a survey to let us know if you'd rather have more track time or pay less and get less time on the track for 2008.

If you attend this event, you have "priority status" for our scheduled VIR event in June. That means you get first shot at going to VIR with us as a group. Please feel free to post any questions you may have concerning this event.

hey guys, im interested in attending, what are the safety equipment rules?

Im sure a helmet, maybe fire extinguisher? I need to know all this so I can buy/do what I need so I dont pay money and then be not allowed to run.

Tim,

You need an SA 00 rated helmet or better and if your Saleen is a convertible (which it probably isn't), you'll need a rollbar. Download the events packet and it will explain everything you need for this event.
