Angry Help!!!

i started my 97 cobra this morning and it started fine then chocked up and died...i then went to start it again and the starter sounded different and it would not start. it just hickuped ervey once and a while...i attempted to start it later and no luck...the starter is working fine and all pulleys are turning...my best guess is something to do with ignition. I need help

Yikes, how about checking the voltage from the battery? Perhaps the alternator is giving in...

I had a similar problem and the alternator was bad.

If you are getting an MIL ("check engine" lamp), an OBD-II error code reader should tell you which, if any, cylinders are mis-firing. I had a similar start-up problem after I bought some water-contaminated gasoline from a local Hess station. (According to my OBD-II reader, there were "multiple cylinders mis-firing, random mis-fires".) A relative took me to an Advance Auto Parts, where I bought some STP gas treatment. I then put it into the contaminated gasoline, started the car, topped-off the tank at another gas station, and then added more STP gas treatment for good measure. After a little sputtering and stammering, the gas treatment did its trick. Fortunately, there wasn't a high enough water-to-gasoline percentage to require that I drain the gas tank. Even so, before the gas treatment was added, the car would not start--it acted like it wasn't getting any spark.

cheers,

Is the car trying to turn over and hiccups or is the starter only clicking and once and awhile kicks??? Because it sounds to me like the fuel deliverycould be the problem.
