help with lowering kit
I have a 95 cobra convertible with 20" chrome wheels. However, the company shipped me the wrong size tire and I had to take them in order to make it to a big car show that I spent many late nights getting ready for. I'm not sure the tire size (don't have it here right now), the tires are "very" skinny. The car still has stock suspension, but with the new tire and wheel combo it doesn't look proportional at all. I want to lower the car in order to make it sit down on the wheels a little more. What lowering kit will work and look right. I talked to a local mustang shop here and they said that there isn't a lowering kit that will work, the only one the might reccomend would lower the car but make the car have 50% less wheel turning radius and possibly rub. My only other option would be to junk these brand new tires (less than 500 miles on them)($$$$) and buy the right size to fill up the fender wells and look more proportional. Any suggestions?

the tire size would help matters here. If it were me, I would go down to a 18 inch tire/rim. Then, lower the car. It will look good.

I can't picture 20" wheels looking good on a stang, sorry.
2nd vote for 18" wheels. ![]()
