What's the best ipod to buy? I know absolutely nothing about these things but the wife wants one so which is a good one and why?

The iPod touch is a great one to get! You can't go wrong with any of the iPods, just depends on what she wants to do with it. If it is only to listen to music, the regular iPod will be fine, and they will hold 20,000 songs.
I have both an iPod shuffle and a Nano.

She wants the Internet on the Ipod, Lisa. I think she likes the "touch" one.
Larry, I'm giving her the Ipod for Christmas and she is giving me a new Ingersoll Rand air compressor and a new Shelby, the camera is a joint gift.  We're just trying to help the economy.

I think for the $ the iPod Classic is the way to go. It plays music and video with more storage!

I just bought my wife one (32G Second generation) at Best Buy. I would have used Amazon.com but I wanted the warranty with it and a physical place to bring it to if it breaks.
