2010 SCMC Calendar

It's time to start preparing for the 2010 SCMC calendar. We would like to get the calendar out earlier this year so we will need to start getting your submissions now.

Primary Guidelines for the SCMC Calendar:
  1. You must be a SCMC member in good standing, membership dues must be paid up at least through the end of 2009 to have your picture included.
  2. Must have the SCMC decal or side window decals showing in the photo.
  3. Try to find an interesting location that provides a good background for the shot. Avoid common shots like driveways, parking lots, or shots with distracting clutter in the background or people standing around.
  4. Pictures need to be high resolution shots, Preferably using a digital camera with 5 megapixels or more resolution. Lower resolution pictures may be posted for consideration but if asked to submit a final photo we will need the full size high resolution image. If you have a Nikon DSLR, I would prefer pictures submitted in Nikon's NEF RAW format. Otherwise please submit them in high resolution jpg format.
  5. First preference will be given to member submissions that meet the requirements and that have not had their Cobra in a prior SCMC calendar. Submissions from members in the 2008 will also be considered (must be a different picture), but not the 2009 calendar.
This is not a requirement, but it would be nice to have some pictures depicting seasons other than spring and summer. We have been lacking in fall shots and a winter shot (with snow) would be really unique and great to have. Be creative and have fun when taking pictures!

Please post submissions or questions directly related to the 2010 calendar in this thread. General questions about taking pictures for submission should be posted here: What Makes a Good Calendar Picture?

If you would like to help with the calendar process, please email or PM me directly.

So, how much does all that cost? I just joined like 2 days ago and have been posting here and there for a while.

I'm not sure what you mean by cost. The only cost to you would be the cost of membership to join the SCMC ($20/year with a $5 discount per year for a multiyear membership) and the cost of buying one (or more) calendars.

You can join online in the store by clicking here (if you haven't already joined)
Note: You will have to setup a separate user name and password for the store.

Those links still don't appear to be working or the pictures have been removed. It's best if you copy the image code link or image thumbnail code link supplied by photobucket for the picture and then post that in the message.

Not sure what is going on. I either get a message from photobucket that the picture has been removed, or I get an error message from photobucket saying that the search failed. Just a guess, but it may not like the ***** in the name.

Sure Kevin. You can submit any or all of the several good ones you've posted before since only the ones actually posted in this thread or emailed to us will be considered.

Allen,

How can we post high resolution photos? Can we email them to you? If so, can you send me your email address?

Thanks
