Hi Everyone,
You'll all be happy to know that I am purchasing an '03 Cobra. After moving back to NY from Nevada (where I had a '98 Viper) I test drove the Cobra and found it to be as fast as my Viper and much easier to control off the line. The best I could do at the track with the Viper was 12.89. I've talked to Cobra owners that have done the same or better consistenly. The only thing I want to do is put bigger, betterand fatter tires on the rear. Can anyone tell me the biggest tire that will fit on the stock rims? Thanks to all Richie |

I have heard of someone putting 315 17's on an 03. I think if you want 18" tires, you'll have to have to have a different backspace wheel.

the widest tire i've heard of on an IRS car is a 295, and that rubbed. i'm sure you could go wider, but i think it'd hurt more than it'd help. 18's will work fine, provided the backspace is right. and also, what i've heard, is a 10.5 wide rim is the widest you can put on the IRS also.
(these are examples of what i've heard, not fact, YMMV)
