Raleigh Christmas Parade

Whistler carried the mayor and family in our annual Christmas Parade this morning. The past two years I've driven the Grand Marshall, but this year the GM was Senator Jesse Helms.

I guess organizers figured a ride in my car might kill him, he's so old and feeble. He rode in a dirty, dented Chrysler Sebring convertible, he and wife sat down in the back seat.

Mayor's family sat up where people are supposed to in parades, on the convertible boot. In mine, they had a roll bar they could hold on to.

Like the last two times, the Cobra Club and owners community was well represented, with lots of "nice car" comments. I thought so too.

No, forgot to take my camera. I remembered everything else.

I'll put the signs back on the car and take a picture......?
