Corner weighting??

When corner weighting a Cobra, I assume ideally you want 25% of the weight on each wheel, but how realistic is that to actually achieve?
We will be doing my 95R in the next week or two and have absoluely no experience with it, so any help would be appreciated.

Hey guys,
Just wanted to upate you. Got a set of scales and corner weighted the 01 yesterday. Dang, these cars are seriously nose heavy.
If you are going for a crisp handling car, get weight off the nose. I did the cross weighting and got it down to within .13% (10lbs)of a perfect 50/50 split.
Just for reference, sliding the seat two knotches (manual slider) moved front/rear weight distribution by 7 lbs, about the same as 1 turn on the coil-over springs (aprox 10lbs)

If anyone is interested in the specific numbers, just say the word and I can post them.

Brian

Brian,

I will be doing some coilovers some time later this year and will be most interested in how to properly perform the corner weighting??

The 2000 R is also damned heavy in front!!

I think I'm gonna also relocate the battery to the trunk this year. That will move about 40 pounds or so to the rear of the car.

Andy,
Next up is my 95R, I am going to play with that more to see what moving some weight around will do. I too, am planning on moving that battery to the trunk, but I will wait to do it until the car is on the scales and see what actual change it makes.
Hopefully I will be doing it this week sometime and will post the results.

Griggs told me moving the battery to the trunk is as effective as moving the engine rearward 12". Sounds hard to believe, but they would know alot better than us.

Brian

ps. I think Kevin has the numbers on his R, maybe we can talk him into posting what they are?
