Talking CMP was a blast!

Okay, so it rained on Saturday but we still had fun! Sunday was the best with clouds and no rain by noon. That was the time to really get some track time. While others were leaving, the locals stayed and played all day on the dry track.

We'll have pictures up soon but I wanted to take a minute to thank the following people:

Young Ford- sponsorship
Earl Tindol - sponsorship
MGW - sponsorship
John Pearson - logistics
Rich Riley - Head cornerworker
Craig Mathis - dinner arrangements
Peter Calvert - entertainment for Saturday night
Greg Oswell - entertainment for Saturday night
Lisa and Clarence Milstead - registration
Todd Shanaberger - registration
Jeff Finkelstein - logistics
Garry Talbert - Lead instructor
Bryan Shugg - Instructor
Will Sadler - Instructor
Jim Pantas- Instructor
Ronn Hale - Instructor
Dave Nichols - Insructor
Dave Kelley - Instructor
Coy Gillenwater - Instructor
Roy Hopkins - Instructor
Adrienne Hughes - Instructor
Bob Shields - Instructor
Al Pyne - Instructor
Ed Bull - Instructor
Chris Retz - Instructor

Thanks to anyone else I may have missed but especially thank you for making the event a great event with quality instruction and quality track time.

So True!!! Thanks again Tony for a great event. I think(besides the rain), it turned out exactly as you expected. And thanks to Big John Pearson for all of his hard work also. I had a great time and learned a lot. I was glad that the weekend went without someone doing any major damage to themselves or their cars.

Also John, I want to thank you again for helping me get my brakes back to normal.

Was GREAT to see everyone again, and to meet new people. The club members are always awesome, but even the GM and BMW guys were great too, and I'm sure they had a blast.

Have a good evening........I need a looooong night of rest.

Craig

Thanks to all who helped to put on this great event. Sunday afternoon sessions were drier and much worth the wait.

Thanks Todd! I was feeling overwhelmed and you and Rich really made me calm down when you both helped at registration. I really appreciated it a lot!

Dave,

Please send me that picture for the website but please, please shrink it down from the size it is now.

Thanks

Ditto from me as well Tony. Everyone involved did a fine job as well.
I had a blast on my one dry track run... well, until... the brake hose got tired.
Sorry about the short run Jeff, at least we went into the grass!

I want to thank everyone that helped me get my brakes operating again. Made it home fine, car appears to be ok.

Special thanks to Jeff, Lisa and Big C, Craig, Tony, Peter, Dave brother Ken, Shuggs buddies, and everyone else that helped me get going.
If I forgot anyone, all help was appreciated!

Then, thank the lord for John's brake hose and Brian Shugg's master cylinder bleeding skills.
I would still be in Columbia...

And no, the car is not for sale for $1500 bucks, that offer expired about 15 secs after it was uttered.
Sorry about the #&%$#@!!!

Yes I will go again, but not tomorrow! Thanks again, I am a proud member of SCMC.

Sorry I couldn't find my old brake lines Dennis. Must have gotten thrown away in the move. Glad the only damage that was done to yourself or the car was a botched brake line. Didn't think I'd be so sore this morning. Guess I'm a tad bit outta shape. Everyone have a great Monday........back to the daily grind

*sigh*

I have such fond memories of bleeding my brakes at CMP...it is like ritual...or a coming of age in the Open tracking world!

Glad you made it back safe...

Rich Riley

I want to send a personal HUGE thank you to Rich Riley. Rich was Race Control at pit exit both days. Saturday was a miserable day and Rich stood out there with an umbrella in one hand and the flags in the other. Rich came to the event to help out and not drive. Help out is an understatement for what he did. Thanks a ton Rich!!!

Don't forget to go to www.euroimage.us to get your pics if you didn't have a chance at the track.
