Sparks from brakes?

Was this because of using the stock pads? A corner worker had me called in because of sparks/fire from my brakes at CMP this weekend. the rotors looked fine, no scoring visible. Pedal stayed firm the whole time.

lisa,

when you pull the brakes off look at the caliper bracket itself to see if the rotor contacted it in anyway. with the heavier front end and the tendency of the hubs to flex, that's a good possibility, since you said the brakes felt/look fine. look at the upper portion of the bracket where the outside of the rotor could possibly contact it (you'll see what i mean, hard to say with no pics). also, look to see if the rotor itself is discolored (blue/silver) and check for scoring along the very outside edge of the rotor face.
