Tremec TKO

What all is needed to convert the driveline of a '98 Cobra to accept a TKO. I know TTC has come out with a new belhousing but as far as clutch cables, quadrants, clutch fork, clutch assembly and driveshaft: what can be saved and what needs to be new?

You need a new clutch and pressure plate. You will have to move the Tranny support member up closer to the front of the car (just drive a few holes). You will need a driveshaft spacer. Because the yoke on for the TKO is different and shorter than a T-45 and 3650. Trust me, I have this on my car. The TKO has a different shifter than the T-45. I recommend the Pro 5.0. I had the Steeda Tri, Just like the Pro 5.0 better. You need to know that if you have gears in you car that an Alum Driveshaft will benefit you. TKO are tough trannys, but the are little noisey (not to bad). Not as bad as the Fox Bodies.
I love my TKO, it holds up well and My car is a daily driver.
Recap

Needed- Clutch, pressure plate, relocate tranny member, and Spacer.

Recommended- Alum driveshaft (M-4602J) You will still need the spacer

Depends on which one. The problem is if it fits in the bellhousing or not (atleast what I was told from RAM clutchs). I upgraded mine because of the blower, so it didn't matter. I bought everything at once to make it easier. I would contact the company that makes your clutch and ask. They should have the specs for the TKO and they can tell you if it fits. Sorry if it seems like I flipped flopped my answer about the clutch. I remember why I did it and what I was told. Hope that helps more than it hurts

In most cases, you can get by with only having to replace the clutch disc, not the pressure plate. The TKO uses a 26 spline input shaft, the stock trannies use 10 spline.
I also suggest the Pro 5.0 shifter, but they do come stock with a decent quality shifter.
