Convertible Tops

Anyone,

I just bought a Black 99 Cobra with Tan top. The previous owner was not fanatical as I am when it comes to keeping his car clean. The convertible top has three or four black marks, not terribly noticeable, but I can see them! The spots look like they may be from tree sap, but I'm not sure. I've tried Mothers convertible top cleaner (used a whole bottle) to no avail. Same thing with Blue Majic convertible top cleaner (whole bottle). I've even tried Westley's Bleech White for white wall tires. I've used a scrub brush with each different product...seemed like none of the products had any effect at all. Anybody have any suggestions?

If you will go back to the Message forum, Ganeral Forums, Show and Shine, then change the search criteria (at the bottom right) to "from the beginning", you will see in the Convertible Tops thread many conversations about top cleaners.

Dave, thanks. Checked it out, but couldn't find anything specific to my problem. Good info otherwise.

some where on the net I have seen many conv. top care products. Type in convertible top care(cleaners or something like that) and it should bring them up. You could contact those companies and mabie they could help you.
