How to find an exhaust leak

I have forgotten!!

It seems like there is something you can brush on and if it bubbles then you know you have air escaping...

Does anyone know for sure?

THanks
Dave

1. Place Idaho Potatoes in exhaust pipes (suggest a snug fit)
2. Start engine with gearbox disengaged and give it some throttle
3. Oops, forgot, park with rear of car facing local Corvette delearship
4. If dealership is pissed with you, you have no exhaust leaks
5. Drive away and lose the losers

just look for black around the pipes. The leaking exhaust gas will leave carbon deposit wherever it is coming from.
