Bazooka Tube Install

Does anyone know where to tap into the rear speakers to install a self amplified bazooka tube? I'm not an electrical expert, but the set-up is confusing to me. I was looking to tap into the wires leading in/out of one of the rear amps. I'm also looking for the wire to use for the remote turn on which turns on the amp. I need more bass. I can hardly hear my radio since I added my x-pipe. Hope someone can help.

that happened to me too, i opened it up tried a few connections but it didnt' work. Finally i hooked up the remote cable to the wires next to the dead pedal. There's a power and remote cable going from there to the rear speakers.

it gets pretty confusing, we spent nearly 4 hours trying to figure it out, good luck

I just completed the very same install. Only took a few minutes. You need to purchase a line out convertor. Costs about $20 and turns the rear speaker inputs into a low RCA signal for the amp. Just tap directly into the speaker wires of your rear subs. Run these wires into the line out convertor, then just hook up the rca cable.

If you are looking for a remote on signal, Just look for an ACC. fuse in your fuse box.

Hope this helps.

Worked like a charm. Bought an " Install Edge IEC AULOC" from best buy. $20. Took 15 minutes to do. There's a rubber gromet above the clutch that you can run the power cable. I didn't have to even use a turn on switch. Sounds great.

Finally I'm good for something.

What color wires did you hook up to? Where do I find them. I have a 03 cobra and want to install a amp with a sub box. I have the line convetor that converts speaker line to RCA outputs. But I don't know what wires to hook the converter to.

Thanks,
Ryan

Cool site.

For a vert., the amps are accessed by removing the rear seat bottom and then the rear seat back. I actually picked up the leads at the speakers rather than the amp. Just make sure you get the sub leads not the tweeters or you'll have no bass.

I installed a 10" bazooka self amplified tube. I switched them and couldn't notice a difference. I'm not sure if it would affect your set-up.
