My car hates CMP (broken already)
Filled up the gas tank before heading out to a novice autocross school I am helping with and the car started pissing gas out of the place where the fill neck goes into the tank. Damn car knows its going to CMP again and is giving me crap for it. I gotta go help with this autocross school then figure this out. Anyone replace that seal before offer some hints? The tank is full except whatever leaks out while I am gone.

Hey Calvin I know what you mean. My car must hate it also, I went to have the car tuned yesterday and when we got it on the dyno we discovered the fuel pumps aren't working correctly. When the rpm's get over 6000 the pumps take a dump! I will have to get an '03 tank and pump to fix the problem. Only one thing, I can't get them and have them installed AND the car tuned before next weekend. SO I'M OUT!

Sorry to hear about your probs Joel. You'll get it resolved.
You're out Greg? Go buy a cheap, used N/A car and bring it down. It's a thought... Craig

Sorry to hear that , you could get a V6 rental and flog the hell out of it!
I am dropping the car off at a friends shop tonight. He said he has time to get it finished in time. If I didnt have school after work I could probably get it done myself but right now I am just streched to thin on time.

Hey Greg...with 6bazillion horsepower...why would you need to rev the car above 6k rpm? Bring it anyway and just shift at 5k rpm.
You can get Foci very cheap...even the SVT's are going at good prices. I got mine for $5200 off the sticker with every option they come with. Do it...and maybe Tony WILL give us our own run group! Hope you gets things squared away Joel!!

To tell the truth I was thinking about running it and short shifting but whats to keep the pumps from completely going out or worse slowly dying and me not realizing it until the engine detonates. I love open tracking but not enough to risk the engine! SO I'll just be taking care of the car this weekend and I'll try to make another event!
