Need new ball joint/time to upgrade?

I have a RF ball joint starting to wear out. I have a little play that was detected when I got my car inspected. I was considering getting the Steeda X2 ball joints for my stock A-arms. I do have the MM poly bushings in them. It will be at least a year or two before I get the MM k-member-many other projects ahead of this.
Steeda says I should get the bumpsteer kit if I do this. I'd probably get MM's bumpsteer kit.

However, when caster is increased, the rear inclination of the spindle further raises the steering arm where the tie-rod attaches. Therefore, an adjustable tie rod end, commonly called a "bump-steer kit", is highly recommended to prevent bump-steer whenever caster camber plates are used in combination with the X2 balljoint.

My question: Will I make the suspension any worse by adding the X2 joints without doing anything else to the front end?

Is anyone using either the X2 ball joints OR a bumpsteer kit? I am considering getting the X2 ball joints along with MM's bumpsteer kit.

First, if the ball joints need replacing, do it.
Second, I would think carefully before mixing manufacturer's parts, as most (KB, MM, Steeda) are designed to work as packages.
Third, you won't have to re-set bumpsteer unless you do camber plates, and when you do camber plates, suggest adding strut tower brace at same time - that way you only pay for labor once....
