SCMC/MGW Drag Day 26FEB05

I was testing a new tire & trying different launch RPM as well as PSI. I expected times all over the place but when the car was cool, all ET were within .03 of one another. As I ran, reading from right to left:

How are you getting those 1.7 60 foot times? The best I did Saturday was a 1.886...

Tony, I launched my old BFG DRs around 4k with 18PSI. I don't sidestep, but I do release quickly. Trying that same approach with the ET Streets, the first run was a bogged launch so I upped the leave to 5k & stayed there all day. PSI was dropped from 15 down to 12 & as with wrinkle walls the car tends to get wiggly on the big end. I'm still learning but was thinking a 1.60 60' would have been cake... We'll get there. MPH was off by 1.5-2 as well coulda been the air though.

Speaking of air, did anyone get the weather report (hourly basis) the 26th? I'd like to get that info, if possible.

My IAT1 was at 46* @ 10:30 And up to 65* at 12:00 using the predator.
My first pass was an 11.93 I could not get back into the 11's after 12:00

That's what happened to me.... my first run was a 12.72 and everything else after that was 12.9's.... sucks!

If I had a 1.7 60 foot, I would be in the low 12's....
