kenne bell 2.2 question
When did they make the change on the 2.2 blower to keep it from blowing oil , what was the change? and at what boost level was it a problem ? what has to be done to the older units for a fix?

well considering the 2.4L just came out, im assuming they didnt completely fix the problem...but on the other hand, that's why we have warranties...good luck with the KB, we'll have to get together once we both have our new blowers on...I really wanna see the difference between the ProC and KB side by side on the street...

i have one of the original, oil-spitting 2.2 KB.
costs 500 to have KB fix their own problem -- forget that! new 2.2s don't even have a breather whole on the snout from what i understand. i had some problem @ 15psi, but it got really bad @ 17psi. i have had a catch can for some time though. i'm now running 16psi. i think it's not a question of when, but how much. i think my KB will spit oil and just about any meaningful PSI.

Regarding ProCharger....
I've had nothing but good service with Procharger on my 92 LX5.0. I actually drove to their Operations in Lenexa Kansas to see the operation and bought the Supercharger on site. They were very courteous and took me out for several test drives in other cars. Ever since the purchase, I've had great customer service and they cut me some slack when I burnt up the 1st unit(oil starved).

Any chance you two will let the poor Whipple charged convertible try to keep up ![]() Maybe when I help Jason with his blower install I'll tell him it's the 3.00 pulley... but it'll be the 3.50" instead ![]() ![]() ![]() J/K Jason ![]() Shannon

![]() I figure I'll get the 3.10" pulley from Billet Flow with the hub that way I can change between the two pulleys when I'm feeling like a good run! ![]() BTW, Shannon I orderd most of my stuff this past Friday, injectors, SCT MAF, injector harnesses, gauges, gauge pod, intercooler reservoir tank, engine coolant tank (just because). The only other things I'm needing to purchase is the install kit from Kenne Bell, Oval Bore Throttle body, and the rest of the fuel system stuff and we'll be in business!! ![]() I'll let you know as soon as I get the rest of the parts in!

Shannon...you know you are more than welcome...I would like to see the comparison on the street from all three types...we could also throw in the mix a procharged Saleen (he'll probably do the video anyways)...it's all in good fun of course, im just glad people on this board aren't flaming someone for going a different route.
ps--ive actually been curious to purchase the HP twin turbo kit, but we'll just see how the new blower works first ![]()
