Another great event Rick!

Are you planning to post the "Official Results" here to this thread?

Well, I just wanted to take a few seconds to thank everybody for letting us ohio folk run with ya'll. We had a fricken black once again. I can't say thanks enough to Rick and Jane for putting up the ohio group, and even feeding us some really good food. Overall it was a great weekend. Got a great tune from Dan at Pro-Dyno , got a sweet roll-bar installed in the new cobra , and dropped over 8 second with the new car over my previous best, with hitting a fricken cone. No I really can't wait to get 4 good tires, and lot more seat time, and see how i can improve even more. Had a great time, and hopefully will be down at least one more time this year, with a few different buckeye drivers. Take it easy until then, and thanks again everybody!

Oh yeah, the pics over on HPT's are fricken great. Just wish there were some vids of the cobra's! No fun watching all the vids, and not getting to hear a little eaton scream!

It was great meeting you as well Eric. I look forward to running some more events with you. From the looks of the times, with a little more seat time, hopefully I will be able to give you some competition in the future. Take it easy man, and look into the Billetflow IRS brace, save you some headaches in the future.

Thanks once again to Rick and the SCMC gang for putting on a great event and dialing in the sunny weather. It was well worth the 400 mile round trip for 5 minutes of track time

Tony, you rock! Simply amazing watching you tear up the course.

A big congratulations to Kelly for a superb day in the Taxi and showing us how it's supposed to be done. Great driving my friend!

Rick + Jayne...sorry I missed you guys on the way out, but I'll see you in a few weeks at TGP. But be forewarned....a new sound will be coming from under the hood and no, it won't be the power steering pump going out .

Until next time.

Mark

what's up with that...........the opti-spark is known to be a very reliable source for ignition fire.

I just had to! Everytime I hear "LT1", it's not long before the dreaded OPTI shenanigans are thrown into the mix.

Coming from someone local that trailered in their queen while I drove 400 miles???? Not much ground to stand on. I thought guys trailer their cars when they worry about it breaking down at the track

Heck, I did the dragon on the way home...had to be close to 5,000 pounds with all my race tires in the trunk and had a blast.

I have no other way to get my car to the track with the tires. I could drive my car up there, have the girl drive the truck with the tires IN the truck and change them at the event if you would like? If you recall, I at one time drove my car there with a tow bar, and a small 48" trailer with my tires on that. I consider the full car hauler a luxury, not a necessity.

I'm right at 1 hour away from the track, and I don't feel like using up tire just to drive there and back.

I hear ya...but it sounds like you need a bigger trunk 3 race tires or 2 bodies fit nicely.

I can assure that if I was in the market for a 4door vehicle, the 94-96 Impala would rank very high. I liked them before I met all you guys, but seeing what they can do, further pushes them ahead over the others.

You could use one to drag your race car to the track.

I dunno.....I'm likin' my 97 GMC 2500 pretty darn good. It is in all honesty, becoming one the best vehicles I have ever purchased. My first GM purchase too. Even with 50,000 more miles on it than the same year F150 I had, it is alot better. I may've just had a "dud", but I hope I see the day that the truck gets the 383 shortblock and a ProCharger.
