Dammit dammit dammit!

I THOUGHT was finally gonna get to finish up the SVO this weekend (gotta install the turbo and finish installing the front suspension, only a full weekends work) and now my Merkur (my daily driver) has developed a wicked tapping in the valve train!

Dammit! I juust knew I was gonna be able to finish it for next weekend and be able to attend the open track event as well. To top it off, found out today that I've got to schedule some work for next weekend. There's no way I can finish the SVO, break in the Stage III clutch, get the 3" exhaust put on, and work out any bugs that are sure to pop up by the open track event. Seems like I'll NEVER get the SVO finished for a track event. If it isn't for work or something breaking... again, dammit dammit dammit!

John,
I'm still not sure if I'll make it or not. I'll let you know as soon as I convince the wife, I mean decide.

I did have a blast this weekend, even though the weather was crappy. Windy and dry is much better than pouring down rain, that's for sure!!!
We had both.

Security and camping

The SCMC is paying for security to be there at night for the event weekend. The SCMC did not pick up the camping. I'm not sure what the camping cost but each person will have to pick up the camping on there own.

So far every time we have camped at CMP it has cost $25 for the weekend, and yes, we'll probably camp that weekend as well...

Camping at CMP

I called the track yesterday to ask about camping for a motorhome and cost. The girl who answered the phone said the gates for camping open at 5:00 pm on Friday before the event. She said there is no charge from CMP since they rent out the track for the weekend to the club who is sponsoring the event. She said if there was a charge to camp it would be determined by the club who is sponsoring the event?!? I am trying to find out if this information is correct, and if so what are we looking at for cost?
