Austin weather predicts a 60% chance of rain on saturday and 40% on sunday.

I don't like big puddles and big tires skipping across the road....just too much risk for all of us IMO. I will be canceling as it is too much risk for me at this time with my new 3 weeks away from arriving.

Well, everyone who want to reschedule please post so we know how everyone feels.

Damn I was pretty willing to go, but now the weather looks like it could be bad....and I have some bald as Nitto DR's on so hill country doesnt sound so fun....So far not a single drop in Friendswood, but it sure looks like its knocking......if there happens to be a reschedule then Ill be going for sure whenever the new date is...but for now it seems the better plan would be to sit tight......if ya'll do end up going please take pix/vids so I can take alook at our local meets (whenver I finally go)....ALSO be safe, I dont think its gonna be so nice out there......Jon

Well the more an more i look at the weather, not the forcast but the Doppler radar, the more and more I see it is not going to affect Austin.

Now they are saying its moving north east.

Yeah, we are gonna sit tight, and as of right now the cruise is still on untill further notice.

FYI, if you are on not-rain-safe tires... we are not going to do anything stupid to begin with, so if we do get to a point where the road is wet, we will be taking extra cautions.

EVERYONE DON'T FORGET YOUR TALKABOUTS

The local channels are showing 20% to 40% for tomorrow. Can we agree on a time tonight to go or no go? If it gets punted can we talk about the next possible date? Of course since I am in Austin if it is a go I am in.

Maybe we can get the mystichrome to do another dance on Lime Creek.

this may be moot if the trip is delayed, but Lance @ Leif Johnson Ford in Austin states:

Quote:
We are going to clear an area in front of the dealership at the corner of airport and 290 for the whole crew. Should be plenty of room for everyone. We park about 30 to 40 new mustangs and trucks out there at all times.

Yes, I didn't want to rain on any parade. I not for cancelling the trip as of now. I am still in until I am out. I Just vote that we pick a time, and maybe set up a poll for clearly who is in and who is out. Then Firme or the group can decide if we have enough folks to go, or just reschedule.

I say we make our decision tomorrow morning about 7:00. That way we can have the latest weather forecast and see what is up here in Houston when we wake up and Edmond can be in contact with the Austinites for a first hand view of the weather there. It will also give us plenty of time to cancel rooms.

Great idea Henry and Sherri.

We will have an update tonight at 10 p.m central. And again at 7 a.m.

That gives people 2 times to check out the status of the trip.

If anyone is unable to get to the boards, they can call me at 281 660 7347

I just watched the local Austin weather again. They are showing that the majority of the rain will be southeast of Austin, and the cruise route will take us northwest where they show no rain at all. So far tomorrow is looking like it will be partly to mostly cloudy in Austin with a slight chance of scattered showers.

It has been partly cloudy all day today, I have been all over town and haven't been hit by a single drop. Right now it is sunny, and I don't see a single cloud in the sky by my house.

I'm going to watch the 10:00 news and will post another update then.
