rick.............need more laps next time. if they are gonna make us start later then we need to run later.
Rick, I have to agree. I'm not one to make as much noise as Terry...w/cutouts open , but I have to say that only 3 competition runs (original track config) last time out was not enough. I realize that the track stayed open for a few more runs, but the competion was over at that point.

There were a few 411s last year that we got 6-9 runs to perfect our times. It's a long haul for me and I've really enjoyed the event. I'd like to know that I've got a few more chances to improve my times and shut Mr. Murray up The June event is too close to our Nationals so I plan to make it to the last 411 event of the year and hope to get a few more runs.

Also really looking forward to TGP...where I'll introduce you to my new friend...Mr. Procharger ...Install almost completed...then some tuning...then some real fun learning how to keep the rear wheels from spinning!!

I guess I'm the one to blame for course change up. I thought a few might like a lil' faster speeds/straights, and less turns. O well, live and learn. I'm sure next outting the track will remain the same for the hopefulls.

Ok OK OK I have talked to the track about what time we can start and I am waiting on an answer from them. I think we will be able to start earlier and get more runs in!! I agree I want at least 9 runs at each event if not more!

Well, i'll help work or something. I only need about 3 or 4. If I can't "git-r-dun" with that many, then I won't get it done at all. I guess it's the "autocross training" coming out in me.

Good Mike! Seat time is underestimated value. Little 15-25$ autox's here and there really pays off after soo long, i'm a firm believer of that.

Yeah, I feel more and more comfortable everytime I finish an event. I ran in a SCCA drivers school last weekend, and it was a blast. I got close to 9 runs in the morning and 6 in the afternoon, with a instructor. It was really nice to have a passenger, who is a great driver, and a really good teacher to be able to point out your mistakes, and give good tips on improving. My times dropped all day long, plus I was feeling more and more comfortable and in tune with the car by the end of the day. Can't wait to get back down there and and shave a few more seconds off!

Well i'm glad things are coming together for you. Soon enough you'll be able to get in the car and just block all noises out and just FEEL the car, instead of listening to the motor/tires. I further aid this by playing a song on the radio that I am familiar with(know the words or whatever)while running. It helps keep me in the groove, so to speak. Autocross may not be that fun to some, or even seem beneficial, but you hafta be able to be fast at slow speeds, before you can be fast at fast speeds. Like I told Brett, "You're trying to ROAD RACE/OPEN TRACK here, you need to start autocrossing it!" Road racers make bad autocrossers, but good autocrossers make good road racers.

Good point. When I was trying to carry max speed everywhere, I was spinning all over the place. This last time I really started paying more attention to the line I was taking coming out of the corners and I was only 1 second behind where I finished last year on sticky tires.
