I have the weekend penciled...naw..make that INKED in this year. Unless the car blows up, I'll be there! Looking forward to coming back to the track that started my crazyness!

I'm planning on attending, hopefully with my instructor shirt on, but wouldn't miss it either way. I have to say its going to be really different without having Bill Rowe there. We'll need to start taking applications for the fourth chair at the thirsty perch, its a big chair to fill.

Yeah, I really don't like the fact that we aren't getting new people to join us. Every year we have less and less novice drivers.

The good thing is who ever does show up, will get plenty of track time!

That just dosent make sense, I love that place and I just do parade laps now with the rule change. I tell all kinds of people about this track event. Price may scare them but its well worth it and will hook you!

Thanks to Dean, Phil and everyone that put this weekend together!

While we were hampered by rain (a great opportunity to dial your car control skills in at a much slower pace) it didn't dampen the spirits of everyone that came.

Saturday the track was dry late in the day and Sunday near all afternoon for some full-out fun.

The GT40 rep blasting by me at 120 down the straight was a thrill! (I was at 120 - he had to have been tripping the dial at 150)

The new turn 10b was a new-found delight - nothing like pouring the coal to it in the turn with some hard braking - over the crest the view was a bit unnerving!

The highlight was running the course reverse-race (backwards) - it was like being on a track in a different state!

No serious incidents, no broken parts that couldn't be or weren't fixed. A few ride-alongs have hooked (hopefully) a couple of new members.

Might not have been the perfect weather, but I don't think anyone left without a big smile stuck on their face!
