In have the full Bassani sytem and it really sounds great. Around 2000 rpm you get that usual droan like in most systems. My only advice is if you want more mods like chip make sure it is dyno tuned and that you air fuel ratios are right. Go to South Central forum and look for post Bad News on Motor. Bad tune and results are motor cant handle the heat. I am going back with long tube BBK header and it will mean a slight modification with the X pipe.

bassani exhaust

We are running the ceramic coated Bassani's with o/r x pipe and Magnaflow's. Not that loud at idle but get on it and it will turn heads We have had no problems at all. Other mods we have done seem to be following everyone else's '03 mods. UPR cold air intake, Accufab throttle body w/polished inlet tube, 2.8" blower pulley w/Diablosport chip, Pro 5.0 shifter Now we start on the suspension and aerodynamics. So far: Steeda 4 bolt caster/camber plates and strut tower brace, Motorsport Cobra R 17x10.5's on the rear...more coming soon Steve and Crystal Lorah

As far as gains go, I couldn't really tell since most of my attention was focused on how insanely loud the set-up had become.

Needless to say, I put the cats back on the next morning.
Lol. Un4Gvn i did the same thing. I have 2 chamber flows on my 03 Cobra and last weekend put an o/r x on my car. It was extremly loud also. I drove it to work monday and monday night after work it was back off with my stock h with cats back on. I should be getting my mac flowpath cat back this week. I wanted to ask you about your c&l 95mm maf. I have it also but took mine off becouse peaple told me that it leaned the car out to get power and that i need a chip. c&l says in the papers that came with it that if i only have mods such as an exhuast o/r pipe that i didnt need a chip. Anyone here know if i would be safe to put my new maf back in???

C&L is fine!

With no more mods than you presently have, the C&L should be fine without a chip mod. BTW, don't try to run Flowmasters with an X-pipe the sound is horrible. If you are running a baffled, louvered, or chambered muffler...use an H-pipe! Straight thru design mufflers (like Magnaflows) love those X-pipes

Thanks lorahcobra. Guess i'll put the maf back in. I did notice a differance in power with it in. Yes the x with my flows sounded crappy when it hit about 2500 rpm. Sounded like a 2 stroke almost. Then it would get deeper again higher on up in the rpm. Oh well the smell of the fumes where enough for me to take it back off anyway even if it had sounded good.
