BTW I am still running my factory mid-pipe and the exhaust still sounds nasty.

Smile bigger wasn't better for me

I got the 4" tips when tha bassini exhaust was first installed and found them too loud. I drive my car a lot (25,000 miles on it now) and I had to cruise at 90 to get to a comfortable noise level. (I'm an old fart too). I had the 3" tips installed and found them much more to my liking. I didn't have to scream to have a conversation plus I am absolutely sure the quieter tips saved me from 2 tickets.

baffles

I also put the baffles in initially, they rattled out on their own after a few weeks (didn't have any loctite around when I put them in at the dyno place)

hmm, fart cannons? I guess you will be saying to those behind you "I fart in your general direction". I have the average 3.5 inch double walled polished stainless tips that came with the SLP. Now only the smaller veriety fruit will fit, and most animals do not fit. did I just say that? I too would like to see the 4 inch fart cannons installed. That sounds cool as long as it does not smell like rotten eggs. IF you want that import look, make sure one hangs lower than the other and at least allow some carbon buildup on one side for that authentic look. Oh yeah, along with your 4 cyl motor, you will need a muffler the size of a buick, those things are so loud you need to quiet them down a bit.

I saw Trevors (TL04SVT) Saturday night, never heard the Bassani cat-back before. I was pretty impressed, and the tips! The 4" tips look real good!
