MSR Houston was up and running 2 days after the storm. Really surprised me at how quickly they were able to re-open. I doubt many showed up with the fuel shortage though.

BTW, I will be at MSR Houston for the 24 hours of LeMons on Oct 17-18th so I will give you guys and update on the facility conditions after the race.

Any response from the hotel?

Talked to the manager today - he feels confident that they will be open to support our event. I will check with him weekly and update the post.

FYI,

Called the Hotel and they are still not sure if they will be open in time for the event. They say maybe late November. You may want to reserve a room at the Best Western in Angelton and if the event hotel opens up you can cancel the Best Western room and get a room at the Event hotel.

Good advice Barry - we're going by the Marriott this Saturday to personally scope out the situation and will let everyone know.

HOTEL STATUS

We visited the Springhill Suites in Pearland today and spoke to the manager and found out the following: They are NOT taking any new reservations at this point due to storm damage/repairs but if you made a reservation before IKE - they have rooms to accomodate and will honor your reservation.

If you need a hotel room for the MSRH event, the Best Western in Angleton offers discounted rates for MSR events - just mention MSRH

Need to Bail

Guys,

I'm short a track-car so I'm going to bail. I can't recall who was organizing the instructor list but let me know so I can update him/her please.

Miata is in the shop getting suspension done for 2009 race season.
95 Cobra is in the paint/body shop getting purty (these guys are dragging their feet, was hoping to have it in time for this event!)
06 Mustang has become the daily driver but don't want to kill the last of the brake pads by doing another track event on it!

Hope you guys have great weather and a great event!

MB
