All I can say is good weather or not, we are going to have one heck of a track event. Did you see the list of participants? Let's hope Mother Nature is on our side this year!

No joke, last year was miserable. It was fun, but it took me 2 weeks to dry and thaw out.

the mustang club 2 weeks later was the worst 30's and rain. Everyone was just sitting in their cars.

The track at CMP is not bad in the rain, I had fun. Others are not as fun in the rain like sebring.

Add Me To The List

John

Mailed my registration & check today. Got a new set of tires and some Carbotech pads which are much better suited for CMP than the stock pads I ran last year. See ya at the track.

Craig my friend, I see you've added a few goodies since we ran last year. Let's really burn up the track this time. Looking foward to seeing you guys again.

Pat

thanks, just what I was looking for. I'm building quite a library of these Shugg videos.

Nice line, BTW, Mr Shugg. I've never been there, but it appears that you make good use of the "entire track" - something I am reminded to do from time to time by instructors.

Wow - that's an old video. That's when the car still had the heater core, windows, A/C etc. I believe that's the very first AI-East race?

That lap was a pretty lazy lap as the rearend was making some nervous noises. You can see Hoover's WHITE car off to the left just after the carousel - I think he had motor problems at this race.

Regarding "using all the track." CMP is all about the dirt patches. There are a lot of corners where you apex and exit at the very end of curbing. If you get it right, you'll see a little cloud of dirt behind you on 70% of the corner exits.

Weird to think that AI times are now down to 1:48's there - 14 seconds quicker than that lap time!

Looking more and more like a GM vs. Ford thing, don't you agree?
