Ah man, Really I ben looking forward to going. But the rain we had here for the last few days has put me way behind at work. Actully it put the carpenters behind on getting th roofs on 2 houses that I got to plumb. They are puting rafters up tomorrow. I started one today. I really need to get the 2 done quick as I can. Have National Guard this week end and 2 days next week. Eating up a lot of time. I may have to work next week end to make up for lost time. And I really need the money. Speacily after buying that new Harley last week. Any way , hope to catch youins at the next one. See ya, Harry

the storm may track further west of the mountains, so that may help. And, it may pass by us by friday, at least that is what some of the models say.

I'll be there even if it rains. If it rains on the drive from Burlington, I'll just do the best I can with the car and enjoy the rest of the show. Trying to win a trophy is not why I'm coming anyway. It should be fun just going.

MOst of the rain is supposed to be here on Thursday and Friday. Chance of precip is 30% on Saturday and Sunday so I wouldn't worry about it till it gets to be Friday before we know exactly what is going to happen. I'm with Silver 10th as to why I am going to the autofair...

do we know where the club assigned's location is? Is it in the infield grass, or on pitroad? If we get a ton of rain on friday, that grass might be swampy.

We are on the infield grass as stated in the club's weekly message (you do read them don't you?)

Now, tonight I got a call from the speedway and they have some contingency plans.

Here are the Autofair contingency plans for Saturday/Sunday per the speedway:

If there is more then an inch and a half of rain on Friday then we will be in the concourse area under the seats to avoid the rain and wind. We will not be down in the middle on the grass as that would be a big mess for both the speedway and the club. I'll have to call the speedway on Friday night to verify everything for Saturday morning.

We should be okay if we have a lot of rain on Friday night.

Tony

Certified Hurricane Hater!!!

Looks like after much procrastination, hoping, and watching, Crystal and I will have to bow out of the Autofair . We were really looking forward to this , but we feel it will be best (for us) to wait till next spring. Some of you already over there won't have too bad weather (looks like just a few showers Sat. and Sun., but we'uns here in East Tennessee are right in the path of this ugly brute. Scattered showers are one thing, a foot of rain in 24 hrs is something else!! Plus we would have to worry about mudslides closing I-40 again...and I think this time will be worse than Charley or Francis. Hope you'ins have a good time and we'll see ya'll at Ted Russell . Steve

What happens at the auto fair on Sundays? I've never come on Sunday but always come on Saturday. I am still planning on bringing my 95 cobra ifn the weather ain't too bad. I'm sure that we won't have to fight any crowds though!
