Yes, the Porsche Club. www.pca.org/smt It's not MANDITORY, but it does kinda give them an idea of how to plan their day.

$20

Registration is not required, you can just show up. However, I still e-mailed him to let him know.

It is the Porsche Club and here is the post on their website. (not a forum like this)

Edit: You beat me to it Tony.

I've never raced in an autocross, but I'd love to get in on this one. Is there anything in particular I should know other than how to race? How strict will the tech inspection be, and are there some things I should be prepared to bring (such as fire extinguisher, helmet, etc)?

Thanks!

Really? You're going to Love it.

I'm not an inspector but I believe it's mostly have your battery secure, no loose objects inside the car, I think they kinda generally look over it to see if it's in good enough shape to be trown around on a track and it looks like yours is, and I think they check for seat belts. Helmets are requried and there will most likly be some extras there, but if you have your own, bring it. Fire extinguisher is not required, but if you think you car is going to catch on fire then you can bring one but it'd have to be secured to be in the car.

I really hope the car your talking about bring is that Awesome looking cobra.

I don't have a fire extinguisher mounted in the car, yet, but I do bring one to have handy in the pits ever since I distincly smelled grass burning after a little off track excursion.

I am indeed. I've been trying to get it to an autocross or a track days event for a couple years. I figured I start with auto-x before hitting the road courses. Hope to see everyone there!

Having never raced, I'm sure I'll come in last, but I can probably compete in the loudness category if there is such a thing.

I doubt you'll come in last. I didn't the first time I autocrossed.

And I'm pretty sure you'll at least be in the top few in loudness.

Still one of my all time favorite questions: "Hey Val, just asking, no reason really, but do you have a fire extinguisher in your car?"
