Carl you hit the nail on the head. Right now that's all I am thinking about is hanging with my buds and getting to the track so I can get this track junkie his fix. The tracketeers ride again.

The Irony

When I am at the track knowing I am trying to control something that is out of control. Driving down into turn one at 120 mph, hitting the braking zone just in time to cut the apex just right. You would think I would come out of the car shaking like a leaf, but just the opposite happens. I am cool and collected my mind it’s clear and I am focused.

When I am at work knowing I am trying to control something that is out of control.
I give it everything like at the track; I am trying to make things right at work. I am cool and collected my mind it’s clear and I am focused. When people blame there own mistakes and point fingers at others to try and cover up. I come out from this shaking like a leaf.

The irony is, not to become the one thing I hate the most.

Thanks to y'all and your help, I am cool and collected my mind it’s clear and I am focused.

Carl, me too. Can't wait till this weekend, going to be sweet. With the new shifter and I going to work on the gas pedal alignment, heel tow is going to get even easier to be smooth on those down shifts. I’m going to need it with the new and first time on R compound tires; I may have my hands full getting it right. But I am going to have fun trying.

I didn't want to start a new thread with this post, and I did a search but didn't find what I was looking for, so I asked the qestion here.

The question is this. Am I better off installing my shifter with a gasket, like Cobrabob's shifter gasket over on stvp? Or is it better to use the stuff that comes with the shifter? Or are they equal?

Thanks for any answers, in advance

I've seen many people like the gasket from Cobrabob and they claim it makes it even quieter. To me the MGW isn't that loud so I haven't thought of getting a gasket. I'm sure if you have the extra $$$ it wouldn't hurt.

Thanks Casper!

I think I'll just use the RTV sealant then. I want to hurry up and get this thing on here

I put the MGW shifter on, and what a difference!!! Shifts are so much shorter, and solid. I can't beleive I didn't order this thing a long time ago. Way to go George!! You have a remarkable shifter!!
