cross drilled rotors look pretty, but are known to crack when subject to track use....put the plain ones back on for the event....are you running stock pads? I'm pretty sure the stock ones will work fine being this is your first event....after you get a few events under your belt, you'll want something a little more aggressive....stock wheels and tires are probably a safe bet, but what are the size and brand of the aftermarket tires?

Jay,

Exactly what Ken said! Cross-drilled rotors are prone to crack and solids will do the job just fine. I only run solids on my 94 Cobra and can go a year's worth of track events without warping.

You can use your stock wheels but those 18 inch tires are expensive, eh?

For a first event what you have is just fine and many people including myself recommend just doing everything with a stock vehicle. I would put some wax or something on the wheels to make the brake dust come off easier when you go to clean up the snake. Your wheels will not get beat up but they'll get dirty.

Remember, the cutoff date for "early" registration discount is May 14, 2008. After May 14 member's will lose the member discount so don't procrastinate much more...

We've added more show participants and more track participants to the list in the first post.

I have the Stillen Mintex and Matrex pads all around.

I'm having the fluid changed before the event so I'll swap to the stock rotors, but I'm keeping my pretty wheels.

20x10 R
20x8.5 F
BOZE
Nitto 555R all around.

Here's a link to the BOZE site. The Alloy GT500 is mine.
http://www.zeforged.com/ford1.html

I also did:
Rear lower control arms
BMR upper control arm
adjustable mounts
FRPP springs

I'm also told to bring blue tape. yes? no?

Yes, Blue tape is good and if you have 3M film on the car, that is even better. Anything to protect the front of your hood and fascia will help with cleanup and protection. Sounds like you are getting ready for some serious fun!

Those wheels are saaaaaweeeeeeet!

Tony, can I sign up for just Friday? My work schedule requires me to leave Sunday morning for a conference, and I will have to be back home Saturday to keep the wife happy!!

If I can sign up for Friday, let me know how to go about it.

Thanks

Brakes are done and can't wait.

I have the clear bra and will bring tape just in case.

Glad to see more and more jumping on board.

Thanks Gary.

There's plenty of power in the North/Full Course paddock, and there are a few posts in the South Course paddock. Those in the South Paddock are located along the back of the paddock, and along the pit wall if I'm not mistaken.

VIR will charge you a $25 power hook-up fee, which should cover you for the weekend.

Full course

Since we are doing both full & south courses, will we use two different paddocks for full & south courses, or will we use the just the south course paddock the entire time?

Hopefully Tony will see and answer for certain... my guess is you'll use the North Paddock on Friday, and move to the South Paddock for Sat/Sun... but I don't know that for sure.

Gary,

Exactly what Stack said. We will have access to the north paddock on Friday along with show set up at the Pavilion area. Then you will move to the south course area for the rest of the weekend. You can set up on the south from the get go but will have to enter the track at the north side.

List Updated! Keep them coming..........

Event shirt layout attached! (beta but will be confirmed this week) Remember, I will order a few extra shirts but it has been proven in the past that I'm only going to round up to the nearest dozen if you do not preorder your shirt, you may not get one. The shirts will be short sleeve with a special moisture absorbing material so underarm moisture will not show.
