Once again the track weekend was a great time. The car got a bit overheated, but nothing broke ... except for the windshield from a thrown rock while being towed home! Other than that it was great to drive fast and learn again! Too bad Tony had to drive off the track instead of giving me a point by! And he actually tried to say he broke something.

HAHA, Mostly. Great job on Saturday Thomas. I thoroughly enjoyed riding with you. I forgot how fun it is hammering down the straightaways in Mustang! I mean't to get you the information on "heel-toe downshifting," I'll pm you for your email address.

How did Sunday go for you and Tim?

Like John said, it was great to see all you track junkies again

Dave

what a great group of guys/gals to be at the track with. Had a fabulous time and learned a TON!!!! Props to the organizers for not only putting on a seamless event, but also working in the missed run from Saturdays down pour. Unfortanately I skipped out on the last run, just had to much cleaning up to do, but hope it went uneventful. Had a lot of fun especially when the a couple A group cars come out and tracked me down and past me like i wasn't even moving. Damn they were fast!!

Thanks again, and I will be looking for more SCMC events like this.

I had an interesting weekend with my car. I found out that the automatic tranny is not made for open track use. From turn 3 to fishhook the car shifted way too much. I was going to manually shift but didn't want to tear up the wife's car. I really missed the brembos I had on my AI car. The auto couldn't keep up with real hard braking especially in turn 1.

The handling was fantastic. The car was leaps and bounds ahead of the sn95 I had. I told Dianne I need a 5 speed car so I could have a little more fun out there. This will not happen anytime soon.

It was great being on track again. I was amazed how much the old track junkies had improved. Larry Bolton stands out!! He was doing really well out there.

Thanks to everyone who helped the club with this event. The more we do the better we get.

Lisa and I had a great time although we didn't get much track time. I broke a header on the Cobra and she had a punctured slick on the Lightning. We hope to run with you guys & gals again in the very near future. Thanks again to Tony and all the great people behind this event.

Hi All,

Just wanted to take a min. to tell you all how much I enjoyed my weekend at VIR.

As a complete newbie at this, (I have never been to a event or road track before) all of you went out of the way to make me feel welcome and a part of the family and I truly appreicate eveyones hospitality, help and understand (when I was holding you up on the track with my slow and old butt) last weekend. Learned a lot and had a great time.

My hats off to the organizers also, as well as a really great bunch of corner/pit workers at VIR ! (not to mention my Instructor !)

Between my lack of experience and the way my car is set up, "Blu" is way down on binders. She's sitting out in the garage, on jackstands, waiting on a Roush brake upgrade kit that FedEx is suppose to drop off today . Hopefully see some of you again down the road at VIR

Mac, thanks again for airing-up the tire on the Lightning. You saved us a TON of grief. Look forward to seeing you and the 427 soon.
