Alignment Spec's (Caster)

Hey everybody I just installed MM's front and rear coilover kit with bilsteins. Lowered the car approximately 1.5" give or take a 1/16" of an inch. I wanted to get your guy's and gal's opinions on these caster settings.

Front Left

Nominal=3.10*
Actual=4.3*

Front Right

Nominal=3.30*
Actual=4.2*

Everything else came pretty close to factory spec's, within 0.02* or 0.02" for toe. It's just the front caster setting that I'm a little worried about. I do have M.M. C/C plates installed as well.

Thanks,
Jeff

Your caster seems fine.

I think mine is set at 5.5 because of the way the car is. It won't be as big a factor as toe and camber.

I also have my front set to 1.5 negative camber, and the rear to 1.1 negative camber (although on a live axle you won't be able to set the rear - camber as easily without cutting and welding )

I have the Toe set to the factory spec.

I noticed that the factory camber setting was hurting handling WAY too much. I bumped the negative caber for HPDE track day, and decided to leave it to see how bad the tire wear was. But there was no abnormal tire wear with that much negative camber, so I left it and have be running those specs ever since.

Firme,

Thanks for the quick reply. Well then I'll leave the caster the way it is.

So you still have your camber set up as what you mentioned above front and rear? And haven't noticed any abnormal tire wear? Would those be good settings to run on the street? I have 18x9 tires all around right now, does it matter?

Thanks again
Jeff
